How is ivermectin taken? Dosage information

The US label gives a single oral dose based on body weight, taken on an empty stomach with water.

For strongyloidiasis, the dose is designed to provide about 200 mcg per kg of body weight. The label says additional doses are generally not needed, and stool tests should check that the infection has cleared.

For onchocerciasis, the single dose is about 150 mcg per kg. The label says retreatment may be considered as short as every 3 months for individual patients.

Dosing tables on the label count the number of 3 mg tablets by weight band. We do not show weight-based figures, so follow the prescriber.

Indian pack labels may differ from the US label. Your prescriber's instruction always comes first. Do not change the dose yourself.
